The winter issue of Paper magazine featured Kim Kardashian showcasing her greasy, surgically-enhanced butt and other parts of her naked body in a cover shoot by Jean-Paul Goode. The glossy featured the caption “Break The Internet,” but apparently all the socialite’s photos did was break the bank for her ex-boyfriend Ray J.
The release of the 34-year-old personality’s new photos generated a sales spike for her 2007 sex tape with Ray J, “Kim Kardashian Superstar.”
While it is believed that Kardashian shot the pictorial in an effort to be respected in fashion circles, the images have renewed interest in the seven-year-old sex tape that she has desperately tried to distance herself from.
Vivid Entertainment, the adult entertainment company that distributed the sex tape, told TMZ that Ray J averages about $30,000 a month in royalties from the video. Now, the ‘I Hit It First‘ singer and star of VH1’s “Love & Hip-Hop: Hollywood” will pocket $50,000 from last week’s spike in sales alone.

Initially, Kardashian pretended to be upset by the release of “Kim Kardashian Superstar” and threatened to sue Vivid Entertainment. Now, it is common knowledge that the entire scenario was orchestrated by her former best friend Paris Hilton, who linked Kardashian with the person who brokered her sex tape deal. Ultimately, “Kim Kardashian Superstar” was the thing that launched the entire Kardashian family enterprise.
Vivid’s president Steve Hirsch told TMZ that until last week, “Kim Kardashian Superstar” was the second most-successful celebrity sex tape of all time next to Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee. After last week, “Kim Kardashian Superstar” topped them all.
Ironically, Kardashian’s third husband, rapper Kanye West had two sex tapes being shopped on him in 2012. The hip-hop hothead sued to block the sale of the videos, which were lifted from a stolen laptop. They were never released.[box_dark]READ ALSO: Kanye West: Two Sex Tapes Being Shopped
