After nearly a three-year hiatus from the airwaves, the 52-year-old talent is launching a new podcast in March called The Michael Baisden Podcast.

The message read: “It’s been nearly 3 years since I’ve left radio but the party has never stopped on Social Media. I use to reach 7 million people on my radio show, now nearly 100 million people from around the world read my post weekly with over 30,000 people joining every week. This week we reached 3.8 Million on Michael Baisden Live Page! Coming this March we launch The Michael Baisden Podcast. It’s time to hear the voices behind all these posts. Are you ready? ~ Michael Baisden.”[divider]
After more than a decade hosting his syndicated afternoon drive program, “The Michael Baisden Show,” the show ended after his contract negotiations with Cumulus Media Networks didn’t pan out. The Chicago-bred host also attempted to negotiate a deal with Reach Media—the syndication arm of Radio One that syndicates Tom Joyner, Rickey Smiley, D.L. Hughley and Yolanda Adams—but they couldn’t come to terms either.
No word from Baisden on whether his podcast is self-produced or being done with a distribution partner. But look out for The Michael Baisden Podcast starting in March.
If you’re wondering where Baisden’s former co-host George Willborn is working now, he is co-hosting a new drive-time show in Washington, DC on a station that previously carried “The Michael Baisden Show.” Daily on WHUR 96.3 FM you can hear Willborn on a show called Afternoons with Tony, Mo & George alongside radio veteran Tony Richards and social commentator/attorney Mo’ Ivory.
