“Underground” Captured: New Drama Set Free At Sundance
WGN America continued their robust promotion of their anticipated drama “Underground” at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah.
Produced John Legend, Mike Jackson and Akiva Goldsman; the contemporary look at the underground railroad stars Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Aldis Hodge, Christopher Meloni, Adina Porter, Amirah Vann, Mykelti Williamson, Alano Miller, Jessica De Gouw and Marc Blucas.
Some of the films stars, as well as director Anthony Hemingway, were on hand at the Sundance panel session in partnership with the Blackhouse Foundation. Also in attendance was “Being Mary Jane” star Gabrielle Union, “Empire” star Jussie Smollett and “Selma” director Ava DuVernay.
“Underground” is the third scripted series to air on WGN America and will premiere on Wednesday, March 9 at 10pm ET.
