The Clark Sisters will be saluted during the 22nd annual Essence Festival in New Orleans on Sunday, July 3.
Twinkie Clark, Karen Clark-Sheard, Dorinda Clark-Cole and Jackie Clark Chisholm will be honored during Essence’s All-Star Gospel Tribute on the Empowerment Experience Stage.
Essence has assembled some great entertainers to pay homage to the famed Gospel quartet, among them Grammy winner Yolanda Adams, Grammy nominee Travis Greene, Tony Award-winning Broadway star Patina Miller, “Sunday Best” winner Tasha Page Lockhart, Grammy nominee Brian Courtney Wilson, and Karen’s daughter, Grammy nominee Kierra Sheard.
The Essence All-Star Gospel Tribute on the Empowerment Experience Stage has become one a festival highlights and thousands of people lineup for hours at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center to attend the musical celebration.

The 2016 Essence Festival will take place July 1-3 and feature performances by Kendrick Lamar, Mariah Carey, Maxwell, Charlie Wilson, Babyface, Faith Evans, New Edition, Jidenna, Ciara, Digable Planets, Jeremih, Kelly Price, Doug E. Fresh, Lalah Hathaway, Mali Music, Robert Glasper Experiment, Tyrese, The Brand New Heavies, The Internet, Andra Day, Daley and others.
