Capital Drama: Tyler Perry Developing Washington, DC-Based TV Series

Hollywood mogul Tyler Perry is branching out from Oprah Winfrey’s OWN Network and launching a new dramatic series for the TLC channel. TLC, like OWN, is owned by Discovery Networks.

Perry’s new show has a working title of “Too Close To Home” and is set in Washington, DC. The show will center on a young woman who achieves unparalleled success on the Washington political circuit, only to see it slip away when her affair with a married senator makes headlines.
