AlwaysAList.com had the chance to attend The Curvy Con, a two-day fashion expo and empowerment seminar in New York City aimed at bringing together plus-sized style brands, celebrities, full-figured fashionistas, influencers, models, shopaholics, fashion media and bloggers.
An immaculately-produced event, The Curvy Con is surprisingly only in its second year and attracted upwards of 500-plus attendees.
Created by fashion bloggers CeCe Olisa and Chastity Garner; the JC Penney-presented event included sessions with actress/comedienne Sherri Shepherd, “Project Runway” winner Ashley Nell Tipton, Grammy winner Tasha Cobbs, celebrity stylist Goo Goo Atkins, comedienne Michelle Buteau, Gospel superstar/designer Kierra Sheard, celebrity stylist/author Susan Moses and high-profile style stars.

A combination of inspiration, style, self-love, music and motivation, The Curvy Con is redefining the fashion industry with their progressive and innovative weekend and its schedule of stellar style activations, networking sessions and information.
