Cosmic Connection: Nissan Partners With “Star Wars” For Limited Edition Rogue

“Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” hits theaters on December 16 and the first of the new standalone “Star Wars” movies from Lucasfilm has partnered with the perfect automotive company for a collaborative endeavor.

Nissan is will release a limited edition 2017 Nissan Rogue in a campaign centered around the film, with the unveiling of the official vehicle taking place at the Los Angeles Auto Show this November.

“Nissan’s new custom-designed campaign aims to provide Nissan and ‘Star Wars’ fans exclusive access to the popular franchise in ways they’ve never seen before,” said Jeremy Tucker, Vice President of Marketing Communications & Media, Nissan North America. “Through this exciting campaign, Nissan offers customers new Star Wars experiences as well as a unique look at what driving with the advanced technologies already available on Nissan’s industry-leading cars, trucks and SUVs brings.”

“Star Wars” fans who buy the limited edition 2017 Nissan Rogue will receive the exclusive full-size replica Death Trooper helmet, each numbered and a certified collector’s item.

The partnership announcement was revealed at a #NissanRogueOne reception at SC Culinary Suite in New York’s SOHO district. AlwaysAList.com drove an actual Nissan Rogue Hybrid from Washington, DC to New York City for the event. Two “Star Wars” Stormtroopers were on hand for the event, and Nissan presented one of the Death Trooper helmets that will come with the Rogue.

“Showcasing Nissan’s advanced driver assistance systems in a simulated Star Wars environment, raises awareness for the robust technology offering on the newly refreshed Nissan Rogue in a very different way,” added Tucker. “The message pairs Nissan’s brand-DNA of driving excitement with relevant product information about how our vehicles are engineered to help our customers safely take on whatever out-of-this-world obstacles that they may encounter.”

Nissan also has a new television commercial about its partnership with “Star Wars” that premiered on Halloween.
