For those who travel, there are two major options now — hotels and short-term rentals! And while you know about short-term rental companies like Airbnb and HomeAway, there’s one brand that just may be the best kept secret in the world of travel.
Meet Stay Alfred, a short-term rental brand offering the best of both worlds — private residences and hotel amenities. And the beauty of Stay Alfred, though it may be a short-term rental company, you’re not staying in a random person’s house in some stranger’s bed. Instead, they offer fully furnished properties in very nice buildings, some of which have hotel staff at your beckon call.
Stay Alfred has been in business for six years since 2012 and the company leases individual units and entire buildings and uses them as its inventory. Basically, Stay Alfred is able to create hotel-like lodging in existing or newly developed residential buildings.
The company furnishes the apartments, oversees the cleaning and manages the customer service for each rental property. In most cases, you’re getting way more than you would for the money you would spend at a hotel; while offering you the comfort that is perfect for those staying longer amounts of time.
Headquartered in Spokane, Washington; the company was co-founded by Jordan Allen and Conrad Manfred. The brand’s name Stay Alfred is a combination of their two surnames. (Manfred has since left the company)
Stay Alfred currently operates in downtown neighborhoods in 23 major cities including Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Chicago, Houston, San Diego, Washington, DC and Nashville.
I actually had my first Stay Alfred experience in Nashville at their new 505 Nashville property. Located in the heart of downtown on Church Street, the property is steps away from Printer’s Alley and the lively The District, the infamous bar and party scene where rock-n-roll life meets country music!
505 Nashville has great amenities, beautiful views of downtown and the convenience of a valet service. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the staff is friendly and even the regular residents in the property were pleasant and engaging.
Stay Alfred exceeded my expectations in Nashville and I look forward to using them in other cities. Check out my video tour from the property below and for additional details on Stay Alfred, visit StayAlfred.com.
As seen in the Stay Alfred video, I drove the Midnight Edition of the 2018 Nissan Murano while in Nashville. This crossover vehicle is one of the most diverse offerings from Nissan, having the ability to be soccer mom friendly or even for a first time college student.
But the Midnight edition of the mid-size SUV makes it hip and edgy and offers a sexiness that a single bachelor or an independent girl about town would find appealing.
The drive is powerful, the interior is sleek, the seats are comfortable and you get a great amount of cargo space. This version of the Murano is easy on the eyes and offers great gas mileage, making it easy on your pockets too!
Thanks Nissan for providing my wheels during this Music City excursion.
