Heavy Machinery: The 2019 Toyota Sequoia Limited
What happens when you drive to the Urban One Honors held at The Anthem at Washington, DC’s The Wharf in the 2019 Toyota Sequoia Limited? Well, you end up saving the day when the show’s entire public relations team can’t figure out where their car service is and its so cold outside, they’re dreading heading outdoors to call for a ride share.
I was able to get five public relations executives into the 2019 Toyota Sequoia Limited thanks to the flexible seating arrangement, which made it possible to seat each of them comfortably while we were waiting to exit the busy parking garage that was extremely congested with all of the departing traffic.
While recapping the events of the night and listening to music from my iPod that I had attached to the USB port in the truck, we literally waited 30 minutes for garage traffic to lighten up so we can head to our final destinations. As one of my passengers put it, “this is like hanging in a portable lounge while waiting to leave.”
The 2019 Toyota Sequoia Limited offers more cargo space than pretty much every truck in its class. But while it boasts lots of space and provides extremely comfortable seats, this SUV has really bad fuel economy. You’ll only get 13 city miles per gallon and just 17 miles per gallon on the highway in this truck.
Favorite Features: Simplicity of adjusting third row seating & extra spacious arm rest
Least Favorite Features: I hate that this truck still has a traditional key instead of push-button start & I feel the infotainment monitor could be much bigger
Spin Control: With a starting price of $57,195, the 2019 Toyota Sequoia Limited is a pricey truck that could be a lot better if the fuel economy was better and some of its amenities modernized
Status: C+ LIST
