Your testies will tingle in a very good way! Some products for your nether region are claim to keep them dry and smelling nice, but they usually end up doing just the opposite. A keepsake, a collectors item and music in its original form; “Amazing Grace: The Complete Recordings” features Franklin’s revered live gospel recording with Rev. James Cleveland and the Southern California Community Choir. The original album included 13 tracks and remarks by her father, Reverend C.L. Franklin and was released on June 1, 1972. A re-mastered and expanded version of the album including performances from both nights of the two-day recording was released in 1999. “Amazing Grace” has sold more than two million copies in the U.S. alone and considered one the best-selling Gospel albums of all time (it was released before SoundScan had more accurate counting of album releases). Rahsaan Patterson: “Heroes & Gods” – Looking for a great album to play in Vivitar’s Bluetooth Jambag Speaker, well look no further than Rahsaan Patterson’s latest offering, “Heroes & Gods.” This long-anticipated return of this soul innovator was worth the eight-year way, as this collection of songs covers the gamut of R&B and soul, funk and jazz. Led by the incredible and Grammy-worthy first single “Sent From Heaven,” Patterson reminds listeners of his dynamic vocal range and power on the album’s first single. The live orchestration and throwback horn interlude is an ode to all things great about soul music and creates an instant classic. And speaking of classics, Patterson covers Luther Vandross’s “Don’t You Know That” with finesse and precision, bringing modern sonic nuances to an R&B favorite. The funky “Wonderful Star” makes you want to drive with the top down in the summer; singers Trina Broussard and LaToiya Williams enhance the super-sexy vibe to “Rock and Roll;” the psychedelic “Soldier” allows Patterson to push the boundaries of his musical storytelling; and “Sweet Memories” is a classic R&B ballad sure to be a favorite of Urban AC radio.
