Plea Deal: “Friday” Star Tiny Lister Cops To Mortgage Fraud
Actor Tommy “Tiny” Lister has signed a plea agreement that will have him confess to felony conspiracy for participating in a multimillion dollar mortgage fraud scheme.
AlwaysAList.com previously reported on Sept. 6, 2012 that Lister had pled guilty to the crimes in federal court.
Now the 54-year-old actor, best known for his role as Deebo in the “Friday” film franchise, has agreed to “cooperate fully” with federal prosecutors, IRS and FBI agents probing the fraudulent financial activity.
U.S. District Court documents show that Lister began cooperating with federal investigators last year and has given the authorities a full account of the fraud he initiated with several co-conspirators.
The actor returns to court on Nov. 19 and will plead guilty to a federal charge then.
Lister is currently featured in a Coors Light TV commercial opposite rapper/actor Ice Cube.
In addition to being a Hollywood actor, Lister had a stint as a professional wrestler named Zeus in World Wrestling Entertainment (then known as WWF) in the late 1980′s.
In the late 1990′s, Lister became a born again Christian and began making appearances on the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN). He also made numerous appearances with international evangelist Benny Hinn.
