Arsenio Hall: Releases Trailer For New Late Night Show
Comedian Arsenio Hall revealed in November 2010 that he was itching to get back on late night television, but at the time felt the market was too crowded.
Despite his iconic “The Arsenio Hall Show” having ended in 1994, Hall was consistently bombarded with requests from fans to return to the genre.
After winning Donald Trump’s “The Celebrity Apprentice” this past May, CBS TV Distribution—the company behind the original version of his late night show—announced that it would be launching a new version of “The Arsenio Hall Show” in 2013.
CBS TV Distribution partnered with Tribune broadcasting stations for the show, which will have the new late night talk show run on both on CBS-owned CW Network stations as well as Tribune affiliated stations.
The late-night show—executive produced by the 56-year-old comic and his manager John Ferriter—has already sold to 95 percent of the country. The new “The Arsenio Hall Show” will debut on Sept. 9, 2013.
CBS TV Distribution recently released a new promotional clip to tease the return on Hall to late night. The minute-long trailer gives parody to the horror film genre in a play off of Hall’s famous audience “woof” chant.
