Good news for comedian Rickey Smiley! The news magazine show that features the crew from his “Rickey Smiley Morning Show” has just been renewed for a second season.
The 30-minute entertainment news program has been re-upped by Fox Television stations through 2014.
“Dish Nation” features three popular morning radio show teams talking entertainment headlines.
Smiley cohorts include Ebony Steele, Headcrack, Rock-T and Gary.
The show also includes New York’s longest running morning show, “The Big Show with Scott & Todd” featuring radio titans, Todd Pettengill and Scott Shannon.
The Texas-based nationally syndicated “Kidd Kraddick in the Morning,” hosted by Kidd Kraddick and featuring Kellie Rasberry, Big Al Mack, Jenna and J-Si, is “Dish Nation’s” third morning show team.
“Dish Nation” averaged 1.3 million viewers in January and boasts a stronger 18-34 showing than any other freshman syndicated program, including the “Steve Harvey Show” and “Katie Couric.”
