Back To Reality: Cee-Lo’s New Series

Pop superstar Cee-Lo Green is gearing up for a return to reality TV.

The ‘Forget You’ singer, who is currently on hiatus from his judging duties on NBC’s “The Voice,” has had a new show, “The Cee-Lo Life” optioned by TBS.

The six-part docu-series will chronicle the 38-year-old entertainer working on a new music project with the rap group that he started with, Goodie Mobb. Cee-Lo reunites with Big Gipp, Khujo and T-Mo to work on their first album since 1999’s “World Party.”

“We’re still mixing and doing a few more guest appearances and putting the final touches on it, but yes, it’s pretty much done,” he said. “I think we’ve grown a great deal in the last 10 years. There’s a lot more to consider,” said Cee-Lo.

TBS believes that viewers will be intrigued by getting this intimate look into the professional endeavors of the Atlanta-bred superstar and his rap colleagues.

“This new TBS series will give viewers the chance to get to know Cee-Lo Green, who is without a doubt one of the hardest working men in show business. ‘The Cee-Lo Life’ is certain to be a smart, fun and funny journey packed with a lot of great music,” said Michael Wright, President of Programming for TBS.

“The Cee-Lo Life” is slated to premiere in 2014.

Cee-Lo wrapped his Las Vegas headlining stint in “Cee-Lo Green is Loberace” on April 13.
