A product of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ MTV reality series “Making the Band,” Day 26 had been plagued with trouble pretty much since their 2008 self-titled debut.
After releasing their sophomore CD, “Forever in a Day,” group member Qwanell “Que” Mosley was kicked out of the group in 2009 because of disagreements with the group’s manager, Joseph “Screwface” Charles.
The group began recording their third CD as a quartet, but their breakup happened before I could be released.
Now, all five members of the quintet, Mosley, Robert Curry, Brian Andrews, Willie Taylor and Michael McCluney are all getting back together and planning to launch a new tour in 2014.
Day 26 no longer has any affiliation with Combs. No word on whether they are still signed to Atlantic Records.
