Back For More: R. Kelly Readying More “Trapped In The Closet”

Looking for more of R. Kelly’s “Trapped in the Closet” series?

Well, if chapters 1-33 weren’t enough, the R&B star is returning to the IFC channel with more chapters of his hip-hopera.

R. Kelly and IFC have announced that the multiplatinum singer will launch brand new installments to his over-the-top musical saga in 2014.

“R. Kelly is an enormously talented artist and his creativity is on full display in Trapped in the Closet,” said Jennifer Caserta, president and general manager of IFC. “We are fortunate to be his partner in this one-of-a-kind project that has captivated viewers and can’t wait to bring the next chapters of Trapped to IFC.”

“Trapped in the Closet” was created, executive produced and co-directed by R. Kelly. The production features a cast of eclectic characters including Sylvester, Rufus, Cathy, Tina, Roxanne, Rosie the Nosy Neighbor, Randolph, Twan, Pimp Lucius, Dr. Perry, Reverend Moseley and kingpin Beeno, all of whom will return for the drama.

IFC will be airing marathons of the first 33 chapters of “Trapped in the Closet” leading up to the premiere of the new episodes.
