Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds and Toni Braxton’s duet offering, “Love, Marriage and Divorce” has made a huge impact its first week.
The CD, the duo’s first full album together, sold more than 67,000 units in its first week, landing it the top spot on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts. The release also debuted at number four on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart.
“Love, Marriage and Divorce” is Babyface’s highest-charting album ever. The CD is Braxton’s best chart debut since her 2005 release “Libra” hit stores.
“Love, Marriage and Divorce” was led by the hit single ‘Hurt You,” and continues to have success with the CD’s second single, ‘Where Did We Go Wrong?’
Starting Tuesday, March 18, Babyface and Braxton will join the Broadway production of “After Midnight.”
“After Midnight” is a new Broadway musical that takes a journey through jazz while set in the 1930′s in Harlem.
“American Idol” winner Fantasia Barrino originated the role opposite Hill, but Babyface and Braxton will join the company following k.d. lang.
