Maxed Out: Former En Vogue Singer Going Solo

Original En Vogue member Maxine Jones is going solo.

The 52-year-old singer will release her debut single, ‘Didn’t I’ produced by NRG Soundz on May 15.

This is Jones’ first offering following her 2012 exit from En Vogue. The tumultuous end to the original Funky Divas—the legal drama, online feud and rotating members—has been chronicled by AlwaysAList.com.

After En Vogue’s latest split, Jones had previously announced that she and former group member Dawn Robinson would perform as a duo called Heirs to the Throne.

The two singers apparently fell out prior to their debut concert in Washington, DC back in January 2013, and their sold-out show at Blues Alley ultimately ended up being their first and last performance together.

A new image of Heirs to the Throne was released featuring Jones and two new singers shortly thereafter.

Apparently, the New Jersey-bred vocalist has scrapped the group plans altogether.

Now, according to a press announcement sent by her rep, Jones is gearing up for a “world tour” called “To The Max.”

Her debut CD, “Do You See Me Now” does not have a set release date.
