NeNe Leakes: Lesson Learned On “Dancing With The Stars”
The reality TV star came in seventh place on the dance competition series, with her and partner Tony Dovolani going home on Latin night.
While doing post-elimination interviews about her DWTS exit, Leakes said she learned a great lesson while competing on the ABC show.
“Doing ‘Dancing with the Stars‘ taught me that hard work equals success,” she shared while on “The View.” “I worked super hard on that show. If you don’t’ have any work ethic, you can’t do this show.”
The 46-year-old talent, who also has a recurring role on Fox’s “Glee,” told “Good Morning America” that her time on “Dancing with the Stars” was a “positive experience” for her.
“It was a great, amazing, positive experience for me,” Leakes explained. ““I felt blessed to be there … made friends for life.”
Though she didn’t make it to the finals, Leakes said she was happy she went as far as she did with the stiff competition.
“Me, fabulous at 40, competing against Olympians, I thought I was amazing. I went further than I could have ever imagined. And I’m proud of that,” she concluded.
