A proud Republican, Dash will offer “cultural analysis and commentary across various daytime and primetime programs,” the conservative news network said in its announcement.

“Stacey is an engaging conversationalist whose distinctive viewpoints amongst her Hollywood peers have spawned national debates – we’re pleased to have her join Fox News,” Bill Shine, Executive Vice President of Programming for the network, said in a statement.

Fox News acknowledged that Dash sparked controversy during the 2012 presidential election when she endorsed GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney over President Barack Obama on her personal Twitter account.

Social media users lashed out at 47-year-old actress and “subsequently endured heavy criticism for supporting a conservative nominee.”

Dash has also appeared in movies like “Mo’ Money,” “Renaissance Man,” “Nora’s Hair Salon II,” and “View from the Top.”

The three-time divorcee also competed on the reality series “Celebrity Circus,” and was the star attraction in the music video for the Carl Thomas single ‘Emotional.’
