I attended an event in New Orleans back in 2007 when Chevrolet was putting great emphasis on their Impala and rapper T.I. was the celebrity spokesperson for the vehicle.
It’s been six years since then and the Impala has evolved a great deal. I spent some time in the 2013 Chevy Impala recently and was completely overwhelmed by how much this vehicle has been overhauled.
The new Impala has changed from the sportier Impala of the past and has pushed beyond a mid-size vehicle and is clearly a large sedan now. This newer model has adapted a more sophisticated design, akin to one of the Buick sedans, and offers substantial modern amenities.
The drive is sleek and smooth, and has strong acceleration. Most surprising, the vehicle had amazing fuel efficiency. The Impala’s EPA-estimated gas mileage of 18/30 mpg city/highway was really unexpected.
Inside the vehicle, as you’ll see on the video below, is a comfortable, spacious cabin with so many additional offerings to make sure you’re comfortable. Whether its the heating and cooling options for the front two seats or its accessibility for gadgets and auxiliary options, the interior design was well thought about.
Whether I was driving the Chevy Impala in the city or navigating in the suburbs, people stopped, starred and wanted to inquire about the Impala.
Spin Control: It has a base price of $29,700 and my test model was almost $34,275. It’s honestly a steal for the sophistication and amenities offered in the Impala. This car is like wine, its gotten better with time.
