All Volvo XC60 models have a six-speed automatic transmission, and the six-cylinder engine’s power is solid – especially the powerful turbocharged T6 model that I had.
It was okay on gas as it averaged 17/23 mpg. The standard all-wheel drive model was great to drive and had a sporty feel. It was also smooth on both the highway and during city dwelling.
The interior of the Volvo XC60 is upscale and high-quality. While there were a lot of gadgets and knobs I couldn’t figure out after seven days in the vehicle, I liked the standard base features like HD Radio and Bluetooth, as well as standard safety features like class-exclusive City Safety, which helps prevent low-speed crashes.
Of the luxury features I really appreciated on the Volvo XC60 included the laminated panoramic roof with power sunshade, electronic ignition with push button start and stop, and the tilt telescope steering wheel.
Spin Control: With a price tag of $48,145 on my test model, the Volvo XC60 in an investment for a compact SUV. But for the safety options and the luxury offered, it’s an investment that those who are fans of the Volvo brand definitely won’t mind making!
