Landon just dropped a video for his emotional ballad, “Again,” which features images of him and his sibling. Bobbi Kristina died on July 26, 2015 at age 22 after spending seven months in a medically-induced coma after being found unresponsive in a bathtub at her home in Atlanta, Georgia.
The 29-year-old singer and fitness enthusiast told AlwaysAList.com exclusively that he penned the song for his sister while she was hospitalized.
“I lived at the hospital for the extent of my sister’s stay,” he shared with us. “The weather was all over the place, so it felt like the seasons were changing. Several relatives made requests of what music I should play her. While playing one of their requests I thought, I have time and opportunity to write her a song.”
Landon told us that at that time, he was optimistic that the song would help his younger sister’s condition improve.
“I thought maybe I will see something, some movement, some twitch, some reaction that she knows I’m here,” he remembered. “So I wrote a song with a direct message to her. ‘When you wake up the world will be different. That no matter what it takes we will make our relationship stronger.'”
Landon is the oldest of his father’s six children and has four remaining siblings: La’Princia Brown, 27; Bobby Brown Jr., 24; Cassius Brown, 6; and Bodhi Jameson Rein Brown, 8 months. His dad is also expecting his seventh child—the third with his second wife Alicia Etheredge—later this year.
“I love all my siblings equally and differently,” Landon emphasized. “The song applies to them all!”
Landon—the stepson of “Martin” star Carl Anthony Payne—has been avidly working on his recording career since appearing on MTV’s 2008 competition series, “Rock the Cradle.”
