Winfrey will kick off the three-day Christian conference by taping her “Lifeclass” at 9:30 am on August 29.
She will be joined by Bishop Jakes on “Lifeclass” and together they will continue her new series of reaching out to the many fatherless sons and daughters who are struggling and in need of healing. Winfrey’s MegaFest episode will be the continuation a two-hour special with spiritual guru Iyanla Vanzant on “fatherless sons and daddyless daughters” that first aired in May. Another episode in the series will air Friday.
This will not be Jakes’ first appearance on “Lifeclass.” The pastor of the Dallas-based megachurch The Potter’s House appeared on the series before to discuss purposeful living.
More than 50,000 attendees are expected to attend MegaFest in Dallas, making it the city’s largest convention of the year.
Oprah’s Lifeclass will tape live Aug. 29 at 9:30 a.m. at American Airlines Center. Tickets, $60-$250, will go on sale starting at noon Friday. tdjakes.org/oprahslifeclass.
