Season five “Sunday Best” finalist Danetra Moore has inked a recording contract.
The standout singer from the BET competition show has signed a new deal with Tyscot Music.
The Atlanta-based vocal powerhouse honed her skills as a vocalist singing background on tour with artists like Ledisi, Ne-Yo and Angie Stone; as well as providing backup vocals on shows like “The Mo’Nique Show,” “Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” and the Trumpet Awards, among others.
“I have been waiting for this for a long time,” said Moore. “I am so excited, appreciative and grateful beyond words that Tyscot chose me, accepts me and believes in the ministry and message that God has given me. I want to be my best and give my best. God is so awesome. He truly did this. I’m ready to sing and make music about the God that I love, serve and live for to all nationalities, countries and ages in a way that many genres will understand and feel and want to know more about my God.”
Tyscot has great expectation for Moore, who has maintained a full performance schedule since “Sunday Best” aired last summer.
“Danetra is one of those rare finds. Her vocal talent is impeccable and her work ethic is admirable. God has chosen and groomed Danetra to spread His gospel to the nations. We are excited to welcome Danetra Moore to the Tyscot family,” said Bryant Scott, President of Tyscot.
Season five of BET’s “Sunday Best” was actually won by Joshua Rogers, who was the first guy to win the faith-based reality show.
