British-bred superstar Rita Ora has been cast in the film adaptation of the best-selling novel, “Fifty Shades of Grey.”
The 23-year-old entertainer will play Mia, Christian Grey’s adopted younger sister in the Universal Pictures/Focus Features film.
Ora, best known for her breakout single ‘Hot Right Now,’ had a cameo in “Fast & Furious 6.”
The singer joins the previously cast Jamie Dornan (Christian Grey), Dakota Johnson (Anastasia Steele), Marcia Gay Harden (Dr. Grace Trevelyan Grey), Luke Grimes (Elliot Grey), Victor Rasuk (José), Jennifer Ehle (Carla) and Max Martini (Jason Taylor).
To date, the “Fifty Shades” trilogy has sold more than 90 million copies worldwide in e-book and print, making it one of the fastest-selling book series ever.
The film is slated for a 2015 release.
