Beyoncé Knowles has inked a new deal with Pepsi!
The diva best known by one name has become “global partners” with the beverage giant in a multi-year deal that aims to be more than just an advertising initiative. Pepsi President Brad Jakeman said that the deal will offer Beyonce “multiple outlets to tap into in order to express her creativity.”
The partnership is no surprise to most, as Beyoncé had already been announced to perform at the Pepsi Halftime Show at the Super Bowl on Feb. 3, 2013.
The 31-year-old entertainer will also be featured on Pepsi cans starting next year and star in a new commercial titled, “Live For Now,” which will likely premiere at the Super Bowl. The new commercial will be Beyoncé’s fifth commercial for the brand.
The New York Times says the new Beyoncé-Pepsi partnership is estimated to be a $50 million deal, with the bulk of it for media placements and promotions around the world, and the remainder split between Beyoncé’s fee and what Pepsi calls a creative content development fund.
Pepsi also says to look for “the two brands to co-create cool online content.”
Speaking of online, though Beyoncé has typically resisted posting messages via social media, the singer has gotten active on the platforms Instagram and Tumblr.
She visited the modern art show Art Basel in Miami Beach and posted several photos of herself and former Destiny’s Child group member Kelly Rowland on her Instagram page @BaddieBey.
