Grammy award winner Heather Headley will release her new CD, “Only One In The World,” on Sept. 25.

“In addition to the well-known songs I recorded, the CD also features a few new songs, which I’m excited to share,” said Headley.

Her fourth studio release, “Only One In The World” will also feature a song from the upcoming stage production, “The Bodyguard: A New Musical” that Headley stars in on London’s West End starting this fall.

The 37-year-old vocalist is no stranger to the theater stage, having won a Tony Award for Best Actress in 2000 for her starring role in Broadway’s “Aida.”

“I’m incredibly honored to play Rachel in the musical version of ‘The Bodyguard,’ but I’m also really excited to bring the new music to my fans on my upcoming CD,” expressed Headley. “I wanted to record songs that are inspiring and uplifting, songs I love singing, and I hope my fans enjoy the variety of songs that I put together for them on ‘Only One In The World.'”

The singer’s new CD, “Only One In The World,” is being released by in:ciite Media in conjunction with EMI-CMG Distribution.

Headley, best known for hits like “He Is,” “I Wish I Wasn’t,” “In My Mind” and her remake of Lionel Richie’s “Jesus Is Love,” has released three previous albums – gold-certified “This Is Who I Am” (2002/RCA), gold-certified “In My Mind” (2006/J Records) and “Audience of One” (2006/EMI Gospel).

A native Trinidadian, Headley is married to former NFL star Brian Musso and the couple have a 2-year-old son, John David.
