Former Destiny’s Child singer Michelle Williams is the spokesperson for the National Voices for Equality Education & Enlightenment (NVEEE) and appears in a new anti-bullying public service announcement for the organization.
The new P.S.A. is for NVEEE’s “Not On My Watch” School-wide Bullying Prevention Program, which focuses on student safety and well-being and encourages bystanders to get involved.
“Our ‘Not On My Watch’ Bullying Prevention Program has taught bystanders how to become proactive and has reached nearly 10,000 students, parents and school officials across the country, but with nearly 60 million students in school, we still have a long way to go,” explained Williams.
NVEEE hopes to address the root cause of bullying among children and teenagers to prevent it before it even starts.
Based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida with offices in Miami; NVEEE directly impacts the South Florida community and is expanding its work in states such as California, Georgia, New York, North Carolina, Texas and Virginia. They’re also developing programs in Washington, DC and Puerto Rico.
