The two R&B stars were recording songs for their new duets CD, “9INE,” a compilation of nine Reggae songs that the pair is recording in nine days.
“The way this project came together was so crazy,” Johnson told AlwaysAList.com. “But even if you don’t like Reggae music, you’ll love this CD because the songs are just happy! Everybody needs some music to make them happy!”
Both Johnson and Soulchild were cutting vocals for a steamy mid-tempo groove called, ‘Feel the Fire,’ while AlwaysAList.com was in the studio.
“9INE” features nine tracks – three duet songs, three songs by Johnson and three by Soulchild. The CD will be released on July 9.
In addition to working on this specialty record, both artists are also in the studio working on their next solo R&B releases as well.
