Is Toni Braxton leaving the music industry?
The sultry singer confessed that she’s contemplating putting away her microphone during an appearance on “Good Morning America” on Thursday.
“Yes, I don’t feel the love for music anymore,” Braxton admitted. “It’s not affecting me and making me feel that thing I always felt when I performed. It’s leaving me.”
The 45-year-old ‘Un-Break My Heart’ singer acknowledged she’s not exactly sure why her love affair with music has started to diminish.
“Maybe I’m going through a female mid-life crisis,” she offered. “I’m not sure. My heart isn’t in it anymore, and I hate to say that.”
The Grammy-winning superstar has not dropped an album since her 2010 CD, “Pulse.” The Atlantic Records release featured the singles ‘Yesterday’ and ‘Hands Tied,’ but the CD failed to garner the sales of Braxton’s previous six efforts.
In 2012, Braxton independently released a dance single, ‘I Heart You,’ which went to number one on the Billboard Dance/Club play chart.
The divorced, mother-of-two was seen recording songs for her eighth CD on her WE TV reality series, “Braxton Family Values,” but apparently she’s scrapped those plans.
