Andre Montgomery, the 21-year-old grandson of “Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s” star Robbie Montgomery, was murdered on Monday night in North St. Louis.
An aspiring rap artist, Andre was apparently murdered at a house that had a recording studio inside. He died on the scene.
According to the St. Louis American, two other men were injured during the shooting. Authorities say the shooting suspect(s) are unknown and an investigation is currently underway.
In an interview with TMZ, Miss Robbie believes her grandson was set up. She revealed that he received a phone call telling him to come outside before the shooting took place.
Immediately following the shooting, someone entered the hotel room where he was staying and stole his belongings. Authorities have a lead on a suspect, as surveillance cameras at the hotel caught them on camera.
Andre appeared on earlier seasons on “Sweetie Pies,” which is on season six. The troubled-prone teenager was seen getting suspended from school for fighting, but ultimately became the first male in their family to graduate high school.
Ultimately, Miss Robbie sent him back home to Texas to live with his mother because he kept finding his way into trouble.
