A Florida judge has signed off on the couple’s divorce this morning, ending the marriage that took place on July 4 in the Caribbean.
Lozada filed for divorce from Johnson a month ago after a domestic violence incident and she cited her marriage is “irretrievably broken.”
Initially, the 34-year-old athlete vowed to try and save his marriage. He even got a tattoo of Lozada’s face on his leg.
On Friday, Sept. 13, Johnson finally filed the divorce documents. He still believes the couple will repair their relationship in the near future.
Lozada appeared on “Iyanla, Fix My Life” on Oprah Winfrey’s OWN Network in a two-part episode this past weekend where she discussed their troubled marriage and took accountability for her often violence actions on her VH1 reality series. Both episodes of the show had big ratings for the network.
