Flavor Flav was arrested early this morning in Las Vegas for allegedly assaulting someone in his home with a deadly weapon.
According to reports by TMZ, the rapper and reality show star (real name William Drayton, Jr.) allegedly got into a heated verbal confrontation with a teenager in his house. It is unclear whether the teenager was Flav’s child.
The argument also included his fiancée and at some point, 911 was called.
Law enforcement sources disclosed to TMZ that Flav allegedly threatened one person with a knife during the argument, and supposedly battered the other. Details about which person he allegedly threatened and which he physically attacked are sketchy.
Flav was arrested around 3am and booked on two charges — felony assault with a deadly weapon and misdemeanor domestic violence (battery).
He’s currently being held on $23,000 bail.
Flavor Flav is a member of the veteran hip-hop group Public Enemy. The 53-year-old rapper starred in his own VH1 dating series, “Flavor of Love” and “Strange Love,” in addition to appearing on “The Surreal Life.”
