Lots of celebrities read the tabloids and check out the gossip blogs. Not Jada Pinkett Smith.
The actress talked about the negative impact that the tabloids and gossip sites have had on her loved ones a recent interview for the July issue of Redbook magazine.
“I have been affected by gossip and I know people who have been too,” shared the 41-year-old actress. “I’ve seen marriages destroyed by gossip. It is cruel. At the end of the day, all that matters is: Do you love what you see when you look in the mirror? That is it, baby.”
The wife of Hollywood megastar Will Smith has had her marriage to the “I Am Legend” actor heavily scrutinized in the tabloids as well. Despite countless rumors that the couple was having marital problems and planning to divorce, Pinkett is clear that that there is only one thing that could make her leave her husband prior to the “until death do us part” portion of their vows coming into play.
“What is the thing that Will could do to make me not love him? That would make me abandon him? I can’t think of one. I’m sorry. Except if he did something bad to the kids – now we’ve got a problem,” she offered.
The Baltimore-bred actress’s cover of Redbook hits newsstands on June 11.
