Actress Kim Fields has given birth to her second child.
The star of sitcoms like “Living Single” and “Facts of Life” revealed on Twitter that her new son, Quincy Xavier Morgan was born on Tuesday at 10:30am in Atlanta.
“Praise the Lord Quincy is here! 8 lbs. 8 oz. 20 inches long we are all doing great thank you for your love prayers and support!” she wrote, via @KimVFields.
The 44-year-old actress and her husband, Christopher Morgan are already the parents of a six-year-old son, Sebastian.
The couple had been trying for years to conceive again, but Fields suffered several miscarriages.
During an appearance on Fox’s talk show “The Real” this summer, the actress revealed that though she and Morgan had been working to have another child, this pregnancy was a surprise. Initially, she thought she was getting menopausal or either coming down with an illness.
“Our son got sick with a stomach virus and I caught it. Chris said, ‘No, babe, you’re a little sicker than Sebastian. You need to go and get that checked out’ and I said, ‘OK.’ So I went and they tested me and they said, ‘Oh, honey, you’re not dehydrated. You’re two months pregnant,’” she disclosed then.
