Fan favorite “Project Runway” designer Korto Momolu is expecting her second child.
The Liberian-born designer is pregnant with a boy that she plans to name Cameron.
“They say when one door closes another one opens and it’s all in God’s time. Well, my life right now truly reflects those statements! As much as I prayed to win ‘Project Runway All Stars,’ I’d also been praying for another child for the past 10 years and as soon as I came home from taping found out I was expecting,” Momolu told AlwaysAList.com, before adding: “I wouldn’t trade one for the other if I had a choice! I’m so grateful and thankful as I expect my first boy child baby Cameron in April!”
The designer and her husband already have a nine-year-old daughter named Alyse.
Momolu was recently the runner-up for “Project Runway All Stars” season three. This is her third time being a runner-up on a “Project Runway” series.
Momolu was the runner-up during her debut on “Project Runway” season five. That season was won by Leanne Marshall.
Momolu also appeared on the first all-star season in 2009, where she was runner-up to Daniel Vosovic.
Regardless, Momolu won the QVC Challenge on season three of “Project Runway All Stars” and currently has a gown being featured on their site as well. The dress has become a best-seller for QVC and can still be purchased.
“Embarking on this journey of being a fashion designer hasn’t been easy but it’s been an exciting ride thus far! Now moving forward my ultimate goal is supplying the need doe my work to the masses,” explained Momolu. “I’ve secured some financial investments but still need a slight push to meet my goal to manufacturing! I thought of asking my fans and supporters to take the journey with me by starting a crowd funding site. It’s great because I’m not just asking for donations, but donating my talent and time to give back with rewards for each donation! Hoping to add some incentives and excitement all the way to the finish line!”
