R&B icon Stevie Wonder is about to be a dad for the ninth time, but he’s not having triplets like previously reported by other media outlets following a story in the National Enquirer.
The 64-year-old entertainer is expecting a new addition with his girlfriend Tomeeka Robyn Bracy.
The ‘Overjoyed’ singer, who is kicking off a new 11-city tour performing music from his classic album “Songs in the Key of Life” this week, is having another daughter in December who will be named Nia.
Wonder already has eight children that range in age from one to 39-years-old.
The 22-time Grammy Award winner appeared on “The View” on Wednesday and addressed the rumors of triplets.
“It’s not true,” Wonder laughed, before acknowledging: “I’m going to have a wonderful daughter. Her name is going to be Nia, which means ‘purpose.’ Just like I said in the song ‘Superstition,’ when you believe in things you don’t understand, you suffer. That’s a bunch of bull.”
