After months of speculation from the online blogs and despite her original denial, Tamar Braxton has decided to come clean with her pregnancy.
The 35-year-old singer and her husband/manager Vincent Herbert are expecting their first child.
“I have a love on top,” Tamar said, giving a nod to Beyoncé’s 2011 baby bump reveal on the MTV Video Music Awards. “I don’t have that many months to go. I’m almost there.”
The youngest of the Braxton siblings confessed to constantly having the munchies while pregnant.
“This is the most I’ve eaten ever,” she admitted, before adding that her mother, Evelyn, was her “eating partner.”
In addition to expecting her first child, Braxton has also signed a new recording contract with Epic Records. She released a single, “Love and War” earlier this year and the song became an instant hit.
This will be Tamar’s third record deal as a solo artist, her fifth overall.
In addition to being signed with her sisters The Braxtons to both Arista Records in 1989 (only releasing one single “Good Life”) and Atlantic Records in 1996 (they released one CD, “So Many Ways”); Tamar made her solo debut with a self-tiled album on Dreamworks Records in 2000, and signed a second solo deal in 2004 to Tommy Mottola’s revamped Casablanca Records, though no CD was ever released.
This Thursday, “Braxton Family Values” kicks off its third season on WE. On Sunday, Tamar celebrates her 36th birthday.
She and Vince are also currently filing the second season of their “Braxton Family Values” spin-off, “Tamar & Vince,” which will document her pregnancy.
