The pint-sized vocal powerhouse hosts a new afternoon drive show on Radio One’s 92Q in Baltimore.
The new show, “The Fam,” will feature her and DJ QuickSilva. “The Fam” is a reunion for the two co-hosts, as “The Party Kingpin” QuickSilva used to tour with Lil’ Mo as her personal deejay.
This is Lil’ Mo’s third hosting stint on radio. The 36-year-old talent has previously hosted shows in both Washington, DC and Baltimore.
Best known for hits like ‘Superwoman Pt. II,’ ‘4Ever’ and ‘Ta Da,’ the singer released her sixth studio album, “The Scarlet Letter” last fall. Known as “The Godmother of Hip-Hop and R&B,” Lil’ Mo rose to stardom singing on hip-hop hits by rap artists like Missy Elliott (‘Hot Boyz’), Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s (‘Good Morning Heartache’), Jay-Z (‘Parking Lot Pimpin’), Angie Martinez (‘If I Could Go!’), Ja Rule (‘Put It on Me,’ ‘I Cry’), among others.
The twice-divorced mother of four is pregnant with her fifth child. She and fiancé, boxer Karl “Dynamite” Dargan are expecting their baby by the end of the summer.
“The Fam” on 92Q in Baltimore premiered on Monday.
