Congratulations are in store for Arsenio Hall.
The legendary late night host relaunched his iconic “Arsenio Hall Show” in the fall of 2013 to stellar ratings.
On Wednesday, Hall’s good friend, former “Tonight Show” host Jay Leno made a surprise appearance on “The Arsenio Hall Show” to break the news that CBS Television Distribution has renewed the show for a second season.
The 58-year-old comic has averaged about 1.02 million viewers a night since his return, with guests including Eddie Murphy, Simon Cowell, Sherri Shepherd, Quincy Jones, Earvin “Magic” Johnson, George Lopez, Whoopi Goldberg, Leah Remini and Kevin Hart.
“We are thrilled that Arsenio will be returning for a second season,” CBSTVD president of sales Joe DiSalvo said. “We knew Arsenio had a built-in fan base, but he’s also reaching a new generation. This season, Arsenio has been the youngest late-night talk show on broadcast television and has given our station partners a real alternative for their late-night lineups.”
“The Arsenio Hall Show” is produced by Eye Productions Inc., in association with Arsenio Hall Communications Ltd. and Octagon Entertainment Productions, and distributed by CBS Television Distribution. Hall, John Ferriter and Neal Kendall are executive producers.
The show is anchored by the 17 stations in the Tribune Broadcasting station group, which is also a partner in the show, and predominantly airs on CW stations.
