Song stylist Darlene Love has seen a huge career resurgence after being the centerpiece of the Academy Award nominated film, “20 Feet From Stardom.”

Now the 72-year-old Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees will see her life story played out in a film to air on Oprah Winfrey’s OWN Network.

Love’s memoir, “My Name Is Love: The Darlene Love Story” will be adapted into a feature film as OWN’s first original TV movie.

Winfrey, Love and Oscar-nominated filmmaker Morgan Neville (who produced “20 Feet From Stardom”) will executive produce Love’s feature film.

“The fantastic life journey of music great Darlene Love is the perfect choice for our first original scripted movie,” said Sheri Salata, president, OWN. “There are a handful of stories brought to the screen of daring American women who walked through fire and back to make their dreams come true and Darlene is one of the heroes on that list.”

OWN has also licensed the first broadcast rights to air the documentary “20 Feet From Stardom.” The Oscar contender puts the spotlight on some of the industry’s most successful backup singers.
