Daytime talk show “The Talk” is coming back for season four.
The CBS chat show, hosted by Julie Chen, Aisha Tyler, Sharon Osbourne, Sara Gilbert and Sheryl Underwood, was officially picked up today in an announcement made by CBS Entertainment president Nina Tassler.
Broadcast live from Los Angeles, “The Talk” averages 2.8 million viewers. The show is up 19 percent from last year and is up 10 percent in women 25-54. Overall, “The Talk” has a little more than 200,000 viewers separating it from ABC’s “The View.”
Comediennes Underwood and Tyler joined “The Talk” in 2011, replacing original hosts, actresses Holly Robinson Peete and Leah Remini. The first season of the chat show centered more on issues relevant to motherhood and parenting.
In addition to “The Talk,” CBS has also announced the early renewals of soaps “The Young & The Restless” and “The Bold & The Beautiful,” and game shows “The Price Is Right” and “Let’s Make A Deal.”
The renewal announcements keep the entire CBS Daytime lineup in tact. Season to date, CBS Daytime is up +14% in viewers, +8% in women 25-54 and +11% in women 18-49 vs. last season.
