Has BET’s “Let’s Stay Together” being canceled?

During their recent upfront presentation to advertisers last Thursday in New York, the Jacque Edmonds Cofer/Queen Latifah-produced sitcom was not mentioned among the shows returning on BET’s programming lineup.

“Let’s Stay Together” is currently in its fourth season and the season finale airs on Tuesday, April 29.

The 30-minute sitcom stars Bert Belasco, Nadine Ellis, Joyful Drake, RonReaco Lee and Erica Hubbard and is taped in Atlanta.

Actors like Kyla Pratt, Christian Keyes, Daphne Maxwell Reid, Kym Whitley and Jackée Harry have all been recurring stars on the show.

It has already been announced that Lee, who plays Jamal on “Let’s Stay Together,” has booked a new series. The former star of “Sister, Sister” will star in a basketball comedy called “Survivors Remorse” on the Starz Network.

“Let’s Stay Together” made its debut on BET on January 11, 2011 along with “The Game,” which BET announced will return for an eighth season. A total of 51 episodes of the show will have aired after the season finale on Tuesday. reached out to BET for comment on the cancellation. At press time, we had not received a response.
