Is original “Real Housewives of Atlanta” cast member Sheree Whitfield returning to the hit Bravo reality show?
According to Atlanta-based blogger Funky Deniva, Whitfield has been in preliminary talks with network executives about rejoining the cast of characters
Deniva claims that despite “making a pretty penny” when she left the show after season four—insiders say Whitfield was making around $600,000—the 41-year-old fitness buff has made it known to Bravo that she would be willing to return to the show for a smaller salary.
Speculation that Whitfield could return to “Real Housewives of Atlanta” started when she and her former co-star Kim Zolciak appeared on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live” on March 16, 2014.
While being interviewed on the live show, the ex-wife of former NFL star Bob Whitfield started trending on Twitter and show host Andy Cohen acknowledged that the viewers were excited to see her on.
Whitfield became popular on “Real Housewives of Atlanta” for catch-phrases like “Who Gonna Check Me Boo?,” feuding with NeNe Leakes, her failed fashion line She Be Sheree and the never-ending construction on her home, Château Sheree.
A former “Real Housewives” star returning in a full-time capacity after not having their contract renewed is not farfetched.
“Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Dina Manzo has signed on to return to that series.
There’s also buzz that both Adrienne Maloof and Camille Grammer could be returning to “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” and Bethenny Frankel could return for “Real Housewives of New York” now that her talk show has been cancelled.
For now, Whitfield is being mum on the matter and a rep for Bravo did not return a request for comment.
