Daytime television is officially getting a new talk show. After a successful four-week sneak peek, “The Real” has been picked up by Warner Bros TV Distribution/Telepictures and air in syndicated on Fox TV stations starting fall 2014.
The show aims to target under-40 of diverse women, as each of the co-hosts happens to be minorities. The show out-performed the summer sneak peak of Kris Jenner’s daytime talk show, “Kris,” which has not been picked up.
In addition to airing on Fox stations, “The Real” will also rebroadcast on BET – a model that has worked well for the nationally syndicated “Wendy Williams Show.”
