Double Date: Two “R&B Divas” Stars Dropping Music Same Week
Two stars of TV One’s hit reality franchise “R&B Divas” are preparing to release new music on Oct. 28, 2014.
“R&B Divas ATL” star Syleena Johnson will unveil her latest album, “Chapter 6: Couples Therapy” via Blakbyrd Music/eOne Entertainment.
Led by the first single ‘My Love,’ which is currently no. 28 on the Urban Adult Contemporary Radio Charts, “Chapter 6: Couples Therapy” includes collaborations with Dave Hollister (‘Harmony’), Day 26 singer Willie Taylor (‘No Beginner’) and “R&B Divas LA” star Leela James (‘Fool’s Gold’).
Additionally, the CD features an encore performance of the women’s anthem ‘I Cut My Hair’ from Johnson’s “Acoustic Soul Sessions” released in 2012.
Also included on “Chapter 6” is the controversial track ‘Perfectly Worthless,’ which made headlines earlier this year because “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Porsha Williams also recorded a version but the producers chose to have Johnson use it.

Her sixth studio album as well, her latest “The Scarlet Letter” is being released via Astra/Penalty Entertainment.
The first single from the disc, ‘Should’ve Never Let You Go’ is about to be serviced to radio outlets, but fans can receive a free MP3 of the song by preordering the CD on iTunes.
The Baltimore-bred belter, known as the “Godmother of Hip-Hop & R&B,” is also dropping her tell-all memoir, “Taming Lil’ Mo” on Oct. 7. Additionally, she stars opposite Marvin Sapp in a BET film called “Who Can I Run To” that will premiere on the cable channel on Oct. 18.
