Reboot: Porsha Williams Exits & Other Cast Changes On “Real Housewives Of Atlanta”
There are major changes happening on the seventh season of “Real Housewives of Atlanta.”
Cast member Porsha Williams is leaving the show. The official word from Bravo is that the ex-wife of retired NFL star Kordell Stewart will now only be on the show part-time, recurring “as a friend of the ‘Housewives’ alongside newcomer actress-singer Demetria McKinney.”
But sources close to the production tell AlwaysAList.com exclusively that Williams was not very accommodating to producers this season and wasn’t offering up enough of her life for the cameras.
“After coming off the fight with Kenya Moore and rumors of her job being in jeopardy, you would think she would have come back and milked the new season of this show for everything she could. Instead, she didn’t have a lot of storyline and wasn’t making herself available for the cameras,” our source told us.

The 33-year-old aspiring singer and Atlanta socialite will continue to work on the nationally syndicated news magazine show “Dish Nation.” Williams joined the program as a part of the “Rickey Smiley Morning Show” crew and Fox executives told us that ratings have gone up because of it.
The only other “Real Housewives of Atlanta” cast member that was released mid-way through the taping was Kim Zolciak. During season five, the ‘Tardy For The Party’ singer used her pregnancy as an excuse to not shoot scenes with the cast members for weeks and did not take the cast trip. The cast ultimately staged a walk-out to protest Bravo giving special treatment to Zolciak and she was eventually let go but allowed to say she was leaving.
“Real Housewives of Atlanta” has been shooting since July and have about two months remaining on their production schedule. The cast has already taken a trip together to Puerto Rico and will continue to tape scenes until almost Christmas.

Additionally, as first reported by the UK’s MailOnline, Bravo has officially confirmed both former “The Celebrity Apprentice” star Claudia Jordan and former “Tyler Perry’s House of Payne” star McKinney are confirmed for the new season. While they were both initially being used as “B characters”—that’s the term the network uses for auditioning new talent—but Jordan has been made a principle cast member on the show and will be holding a peach.
McKinney was mum on the matter when AlwaysAList.com interviewed her earlier this year.
NeNe Leakes, Phaedra Parks, Kandi Burruss, Cynthia Bailey and Moore round out the remaining “Real Housewives of Atlanta” cast members returning for season seven.
The new season of “Real Housewives of Atlanta” officially returns on Bravo on Sunday, Nov. 9 at 8 pm.
