Sherri Shepherd: Former “The View” Host Joins “The Soul Man”

After she departs “Cinderella” on Broadway later this month, former “The View” host Sherri Shepherd will head to Hollywood to join the cast of TV Land’s “The Soul Man.”

Shepherd, who originally appeared on season one of the show in 2012 as cousin Nikki, will star in 10 out of the 12 episodes of “The Soul Man’s” fourth season.

“The Soul Man” is the second TV Land series that the 46-year-old comedienne has been featured on.  She appeared on two episodes of “Hot In Cleveland” back in 2011.

“The Soul Man” stars Cedric The Entertainer, Niecy Nash, Wesley Jonathan, Jazz Raycole and John Beasley.

Season four of the show premieres some time in 2015.  The exact date has not been determined.
