Cuba Gooding Jr.: Takes On O.J. Simpson In FX Series
Oscar winner Cuba Gooding Jr. will play infamous sport legend O.J. Simpson in the FX series “American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson.”
Sarah Paulson will play the famed prosecutor Marcia Clark in the series.
The TV anthology from Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk is based on Jeffrey Toobin’s best-selling book “The Run of His Life: The People v. O.J. Simpson.”

The series will look at the O.J. Simpson trial told from the perspective of the lawyers that explores the chaotic behind-the-scenes dealings and maneuvering on both sides of the court, and how a combination of prosecution confidence, defense wiliness, and the LAPD’s history with the city’s African-American community gave a jury what it needed: reasonable doubt.
Gooding won the Oscar for his supporting role in “Jerry Maguire.”
The 47-year-old actor has also starred in “As Good as It Gets,” “Men of Honor,” “American Gangster” and “Lee Daniels’ The Butler.”
Gooding is featured in the new film “Selma” and is in production on BET’s “The Book of Negroes.”
